Bruce D. White, DO, JD is a board-certified pediatrician, pharmacist and attorney with fellowship training in clinical medical ethics. Currently serving as academic chair of the pediatrics department and director of the clinical ethics fellowship program at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Dr. White is active as a consultant and educator on ethical issues in health care and is the author of the 2007 book, Drugs, Ethics and Quality of Life. Additionally, he holds faculty appointments as clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, clinical professor of pharmacy practice and science at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy, and clinical professor of pediatrics, Creighton University School of Medicine.

Joan McGregor, PhD is professor of philosophy and a Lincoln Professor in Applied Ethics at Arizona State University, where she also directs graduate studies in the Department of Philosophy and serves as an adjunct professor in the College of Law. In addition to research and public education interests in bioethics, she also investigates ethical issues in criminal law and procedure, feminist jurisprudence and environmental topics. She has published widely on such topics as the nature of judicial discretion and the nature of democracy and the problems of civility in modern liberal states, among others. She sits on two ethics committees at Valley hospitals and provided extensive background research for the Arizona Town Hall on “Values, Ethics and Personal Responsibility.”
Fran Roberts, RN, PhD is Vice President of Strategic Business Alliances for the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Grand Canyon University, the college that she helped create and expand in her previous role as its Dean. She previously served in roles at the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association and as Executive Director of the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Dr. Roberts frequently presents at both national and state gatherings and has completed numerous publications on nursing regulation, long-term care and healthcare workforce issues. In addition to her PhD in nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, she holds an MS from Arizona State University and BS degrees in both Nursing and Psychology from Elmhurst College.
